Grout Sealing

GROUT SEALING

Professional grout sealing for tile floors, showers, bathrooms, kitchens, and other tiled surfaces throughout Tulsa and Green Country. Grout sealing helps protect clean grout from moisture, dirt, stains, and everyday buildup.

CLEAN GROUT IS ONLY PART OF THE JOB. PROTECTING IT MATTERS TOO.

Grout is porous and can absorb moisture, dirt, spills, and other contaminants. Even after a thorough cleaning, unsealed grout can become dirty and stained again over time.

Grout sealing adds a protective barrier that can help slow the absorption of moisture and staining and make routine maintenance easier.

WHAT GROUT SEALING DOES

  • Helps resist staining,A quality sealer can reduce how quickly spills and everyday messes penetrate porous grout.
  • Helps repel moisture,Sealing can help reduce moisture absorption in grout, especially in areas exposed to water.
  • Makes maintenance easier,Protected grout can be easier to keep clean during normal household maintenance.
  • Protects freshly cleaned grout,Sealing after professional cleaning helps protect the improved appearance of your grout.

WHERE WE RECOMMEND GROUT SEALING

Grout sealing can be especially useful in areas that see regular moisture, spills, or heavy traffic, including:

  • Kitchen floors and backsplashes
  • Bathroom floors
  • Shower floors and walls
  • Tub surrounds
  • Entryways and foyers
  • Mudrooms and laundry rooms
  • Other porous grout surfaces

NEW TILE OR EXISTING TILE,WE CAN HELP

Grout sealing isn’t limited to newly installed tile. Existing grout can often be cleaned and sealed when the grout is in suitable condition.

For existing tile, we generally recommend cleaning first. Sealing dirty grout doesn’t make the underlying dirt disappear. A clean surface gives the sealer a better foundation and gives you the best opportunity to improve and protect the appearance of your grout.

CLEANING AND SEALING CAN WORK TOGETHER

We recommend starting with professional tile and grout cleaning when buildup needs to be removed before sealing. For shower and bathroom surfaces, see our shower and bathroom cleaning service.

If your grout is already dirty or discolored, professional cleaning may be the right first step. Once the grout has been cleaned and assessed, sealing can help protect it going forward.

We’ll look at the condition of your tile and grout and let you know whether cleaning, sealing, or both make sense for your project.

HOW LONG DOES GROUT SEALING LAST?

How long a grout sealer lasts depends on the type and condition of the grout, the product used, the amount of traffic and moisture the area receives, and how the surface is maintained.

High-traffic floors and frequently wet areas may need attention sooner than lightly used areas. We’ll help you understand what makes sense for your particular surface rather than promising a one-size-fits-all lifespan.

WHEN GROUT SEALING MAY NOT BE THE ANSWER

Sealing is not a cure for every grout problem. Severely damaged, missing, cracked, or deteriorated grout may need repair or replacement before sealing is appropriate.

We’ll assess the condition of the grout before recommending the service. If sealing isn’t the right solution, we’ll tell you rather than sell you a service you don’t need.

BEFORE YOU REPLACE YOUR TILE, LET US TAKE A LOOK

If your tile is structurally sound but the grout looks dirty, stained, or worn, professional cleaning and sealing may be a much simpler option than replacement.

We’ll give you an honest recommendation based on the condition of your tile and grout and what we believe can realistically be improved.
